a. Describe what is happening in the photograph. (2)

In the picture farmers are working on the rice farm, this is a form of labour intensive farming. They are looking after the plantation and maintaining it's well-being

b. Give two physical inputs and two human inputs important for the growing of rice suggested by the photograph. (4)

Physical input:-
1) A physical input is the relief of the land.

2) The climate in which the rice is grown.

Human inputs:-

1) The number of workers on the plantation.

2) The amount of roce grown on the plantation.

a) in the photo they are picking there crops by hand this uses a lot of labour but they only pick enough for there family as they are a subsistence farm. this is the farming called shifting cultivation.

b)2 physical inputs which are important for growing of rice are: temperature this has to be 21.c
rainfall this needs to be at least 120mm.
2 human inputs which are important for growing of rice are:that they have to plant weed and harveast the crops they also have to prepare the fields.

c) the GREEN REVOLUTION in the ledc was in the 1960's in mexico and was backed by money from the USA these developed new varieties of wheat maize and rice.these hybrid varieties bnecame to be known as HYV's this was high yielding varieties this also increased the use of fertilizers.

the workers are preparing the fields to plant the rice.

b. Give two physical inputs and two human inputs important for the growing of rice suggested by the photograph. (4)

Temperature 21c and flatland
plant, weed and harvest the crops and rice growing labour intensive

c. Find out what the "Green Revolution" was in LEDC's. (1)

the development and introduction of high yielding of rice and wheat was described as green revolution

1. The photograph shows a group of people working in a padi field. They are planting or picking the crops by hand- this shows that they have little machinery or technology but the amount of labour makes it a form of intensive farming.

2. Physical:
- temperature (at least 21 degrees)
- large amount of water

Human:
- large amount of labour
- harvesting

3. the green revolution was where high-yielding varieties of seeds were introduced to increase the production to help make LEDC's more self-sufficient.

a. Describe what is happening in the photograph.

The photograph shows an imgage of rice farming, which is a form of subsistence farming that happens in Ganges Delta, India. LEDC. Subsitence farming only aims to produce enough food to provide a family with a sustainable diet, therefore no profit is creating. Rice farming is labour intensive, and creates a small number of outputs, rice and seeds for next years harvest.

b. Give two physical inputs and two human inputs important for the growing of rice suggested by the photograph. (4)

A very important physical imput is water. The land on which rice is grown on needs to consist of a lot of water for a good harvest. Temperate is also a very important input, in order for the harvest to provide for the family the crop needs a five month growing season with temperatures over 21 degrees.
A human input is the use of water buffalo which are used for a source of manure and for work. A successful yearly harvest is essentially down to the highly intensive labour force that's needed. Labour is employed to work on the paddy fields and look after the crop.

c. Find out what the "Green Revolution" was in LEDC's. (1)

The green revolution started in Mexico and the Philippines in the 1960's. Scientists developed new varieties of wheat, maze and rice. This increased the amount of produce created by farmers in LEDC's and grants were available to buy more seeds and new fertilizers.

a. Describe what is happening in the photograph. (2)

Rice Farmers are harvesting the rice. I think this because the land is relatively dry and it needs to be dry to harvest rice.

b. Give two physical inputs and two human inputs important for the growing of rice suggested by the photograph. (4)

The physical inputs are that the temperature needs to be above 21°C for at least 5 months, and an annual rainfall of over 2000mm with at least 120mm rainfall per month.
The human inputs are a lot of labour to carry out the processes and water buffalo to help flow the fields.

c. Find out what the "Green Revolution" was in LEDC's. (1)

The Green Revolution in India started when India started planting a new breed of rice, called the IR8 "Miracle Rice", which produced a much higher yield.

a. Describe what is happening in the photograph. (2)

The picture shows people farming their own rice by hand, this farming is also know as shifting cultivation.

b. Give two physical inputs and two human inputs important for the growing of rice suggested by the photograph. (4)

Physical inputs:
1)fertile soil.
2)good climate

Human inputs:
1)labour
2)Harvesting

c)Green Revolution was partly a plant engineering programme where new variety's and strains of crops were produced to increase yields.

b. Give two physical inputs and two human inputs important for the growing of rice suggested by the photograph. (4)

Physical:
The temperature around 21.c
The rain fall needs to be about 120mm of rain fall in each month.
Human:
The farmers prepare the fields
And the farmers have to plant, weed and harvest the crop.

Hi, A)It is showing people working in the padi fields.

B) Physical input:
1. the amount of rain the get.
2. the quality of soil.

Human input:
1.size of the bunds
2. amount of plants planted and grown.

the GREEN REVOLUTION in the ledc's was in the 1960's in mexico and was backed by the USA these developed new varieties of wheat and maize.these advanced varieties known as HYV's this was high yielding varieties this also increased the use of fertilizers.

alrite mate or sir
this is all pretty niffty if u asked me, skills on makin this

a. Describe what is happening in the photograph. (2)
basicly some people are farming there rice in the padis they might be planting it or harvesting it or doing wotever else indians do with their rice

b. Give two physical inputs and two human inputs important for the growing of rice suggested by the photograph. (4)

Physical- warm summers like 20-30 degress centergrade
monsoons so the rice has plenty of water
Human-labour like planting
ploughing

c. Find out what the "Green Revolution" was in LEDC's. (1) well they basicly make more food with like fertilizer. Viva LA Revolution!
